Thank You’s!

Exciting news! I have moved blogs. I am in the process of slowly moving all the posts over. Please join me at MomOffTrack.com.

thank you

Today Danielle Smith wrote an article about me called Mom Acts Locally, Thinks Globally. She did a wonderful job with the article and I want to thank her for finding me worthy enough to write about.

I wanted to address this part of her article here:

Like so many extraordinary moms, Barb isn’t quite sure how she balances it all. She simply, ‘just does it’. She credits the help of family and friends for keeping her centered.

because each of you deserve your own post too but in the interest of saving my limited amount of time I am going to write about some of you here.

So, how do I do it all? Well, the answer really is, I don’t. I have a TON of help! So here are my thank you’s:

Bob-THANK YOU for not expecting me to homeschool the boys and keep the house clean and dinner made. You always knew cleaning and cooking were not my strong points but thank you for honoring that throughout the years. Thank you for jumping in wherever you can when you get home from a long day and doing what needs to be done. Thank you for always calling and asking what YOU can bring home for dinner, never once expecting me to deal with that. Thank you for working so hard to give us a beautiful life and most of all thank you for being my best friend always.

Mom-THANK YOU for always being my cheerleader. No matter what I do, you think it is wonderful. I am not, really! But thank you for thinking so. Thank you for always helping with the laundry. You know it is something I have hated to do since a kid but you always make sure whenever you go home it is always done. But most of all, thank you teaching me how to be a mom. Your sacrifices taught me by example.

Sharon-Thank you for developing the Carter Bear Club and giving Carter an outlet to feel that he is helping others. Thank you for all you have done for my family, especially in the last 6 months. But mostly, thank you for raising such a beautiful and wonderful son.

no such person-Thank you for your help with everything you do to keep our little corner of the online world running. You do so many things that I don’t even notice until weeks later. But most of all, you taught me the value of forgiveness and the beautiful things that can blossom from it.

Dawn-Thank you for jumping in and rescuing TL and I whenever we need you. You have become such an important part of our little world and neither one of us could do this without YOU!

Christine-Thank you for helping me get settled here. Generously stepping up to be the Vice President of MomItForward here and working tirelessly along side me!

Thank you to all of my friends who by just knowing you, my life is so much better!
