A Much Needed Night of Pampering

Last Wednesday I got together with the ever fabulous Amber from Mile High Mamas for a fun night of pampering at the Sephora in Boulder. The fabulous group I lead, Mom It Forward here in Colorado showed up in full force to donate products to Safe House in both Denver and Boulder. I think it is funny how you can’t really tell a Mile High Mama from a Mom It Forward gal anymore because everyone rocks social media and charity.

There is no way that I could do a more fabulous write up of the event than Amber did so head over to Mama’s Night Out at Sephora Redefines a “GHD” (Good Hair Day) and read all about it.

I do want to apologize for not being my usual energetic self at the party (dancing on the cash wrap not withstanding). There were a few women there I didn’t know and my usual self would have walked right up and introduced myself but I found myself more of a blubbering idiot that night and not really able to carry on a coherent conversation with anyone. My mind was on my dad.

Making Another Teachers Day Better!

Last week I had the privilege of co-hosting an amazing event here in Denver where we nominated a teacher to win a HUGE box of donated classroom supplies. I will be announcing the winner of that contest here shortly but wanted to share another great contest for a local teacher from A Day Made Better! As a former 4th grade teacher, it is really important to me that people realize just what a problem this is. There are teachers that are having to spend their very small paychecks just to buy Kleenex for their classrooms. It is CRAZY!

The Circus is Coming to Town!

I love the circus. One of my favorite childhood memories is me getting picked to ride with the clowns at the opening of the circus. Hmmm, may explain alot about my personality! INCREDIBLE Time at Disney On Ice

A few weeks ago I posted about the wonderful opportunity by MomCentral to be a Feld Family Activator by attending the show and giving away tickets. Last night was the opening night for Disney On Ice here in Denver. The show was INCREDIBLE. The Incredible’s (aka The Parr Family) take a vacation to Disneyland where they try their hardest to blend in as a ‘normal’ family. But the evil Syndrome shows up and captures Minnie and Mickey. The Incredible’s of course, save the day and all ends well. We had a great time as a family. Parking is really easy at the Coliseum which was a big plus!

All of the Feld Family Activators got together before the show and were treated to a dinner, character meeting, and lots of fun souveneirs for the kiddo’s. It was a wonderful night. I had a great time meeting some of my twitter friends in real life: @KristieMcNealy @geekymommy @milehighmamas @amnichols

We will be leaving on Saturday. To everyone we have not had a chance to say goodbye to in person: Thank you for making our time in Vegas so much better for having the chance to have known you. Our house here is not even on the market yet so I know we will back to visit

New House :)

We did it! Found and ironed out a purchase agreement during our 5 day house hunting trip, with the kids in tow, I might add. Actually it only took us 2 days to find the house and we spent the next three days touring the town We fell in love with it the minute we saw it. The street is adorable. All of the homes are custom so they all have their own character. Such a difference from our cookie cutter street here. Nice wide open spaces, raised vegetable beds, trees and flowers and mountain views…oh, my! The house has 6 beds, 5 baths so lots of space for our friends to visit.
