Exciting news! I have moved blogs. I am in the process of slowly moving all the posts over. Please join me at MomOffTrack.com.
I usually have a million topics buzzing through my head to post on but today I feel rather uninspired!
I went to the gym tonight. People who don’t follow gym rules REALLY irk me. 12 and unders are not allowed in the gyms jacuzzis (which are flippin’ awesome with massage waterfalls BTW). This guy brings his baby in, stepping around the HUGE sign that says “NO ONE UNDER 12 ALLOWED”. He actually wipes the baby’s nose in the jacuzzi. Yeah, I was out quick!
Went to Costco yesterday, I counted 7 cars parked in handicapped without tags. I had the manager call the police. That actually made me smile the whole rest of the day. They should let me report people via my cell phone. I would be really good at it!
At Carters therapy Tues three very bratty boys were running amuck in the waiting room. All three were coughing and sneezing. The mom handed the younger one to the therapist and says “Oh, he has a really runny nose, I think he may have caught it from the other two”. Seriously??? What the hell is wrong with moms that bring sick kids to a place where tons of immune suppressed kids get therapy? And why the hell did the therapist still take the kid? Yup, I talked the manager at Children’s Hospital about it. Keep your germy kids home lady! No weekly therapy appointment is worth getting sick kids sicker (especially mine)
I seem to be acting like the class tattle tale this week. OH WELL!
Tomorrow we are going skiing at Breckenridge for the first time. We did the disabled ski program at Winter Park last year so Breck (as the locals apparently call it) will be a new experience. I hope it goes well. As usual, Carter is quite nervous about going somewhere unfamiliar.
I hate ski days. We have to get up at some ungodly hour before the sun rises to make it up to the mountains. Then you get to fight traffic all the way home with cranky, sore, hungry and tired boys (husband included).
But, I like ski days, too. Hours of me-time to explore the area since I don’t ski. I just have to manage everyone’s stuff and get lunch ready for them. Not a bad gig.
It’s cold. Here in Denver we have been below zero for parts of the past few days.
I shoveled yesterday. Something I swore I would never, ever do has actually proven to be good exercise.
Carters recent pressure sores are healing. Hope they don’ t get worse from skiing!
I have to make sure that we have everything all together, it all fits and so on tomorrow for Sat. skiing. I will head to Target and stock up on goodies to keep the kiddos content during the long traffic wait in the Eisenhower tunnel. Have some new headphones and movies for the kids to review so that is perfect!
Well, that was a whole lot of nothing, huh? Told ya I am uninspired. What is happening in your life this week?

I too often feel like a rat, voicing complaints about people not treating others respectfully. I've ratted out neighbors who don't shovel (ever), and I've complained at my gym for the nursery worker who brings her coughing children to work with her, when I'm not allowed to bring my sick kids there.
Hope the ski day goes smoothly for you guys! Safe driving!
My recent post Best Friend
Love the post and glad someone else's world is as inspiring as mine. We're still battling the critters DD brought home from her spa trip – not only was she not crazy about her treatment, but she brought home some special friends. GRR I know, better me than you, but glad it's you going skiing and not me! Have loads of fun!
Barb are you being a tattle tale, trouble maker again?? lol jk
Some parents are really way too laid back about their kids being sick around other kids- I would have been annoyed too.
I dont ski either, dh is taking the boy for the first time this year.. Im so nervous.
NOTHING going on over here this weekend … AT all.. which is both boring, and peaceful
