Today I wanted to share my favorite photo since moving to CO. This is Carter, my son, who is a full time wheelchair user enjoying being a ‘typical kid’ on an alpine slide. I love this because it embodies so much of the freeing experiences he has had since moving to a town that is so inclusive.

Read all about our family antics as we muddle through the chaos that occurs daily when you mix a work-at-home-mom with an unschooled, wheeling, tween and a teen in Catholic school. Not to mention my very traditional high school sweetheart turned husband of 17 years. Hey, at least I am giving my kids something to talk about in therapy when they get older...

They have them at ski resorts as a summer activity. It is a huge cement slide that you use those carts on to go down the mountain. They can be SCARY!
