HI Barb! I haven't had the chance to take my daughter to Disneyland or World yet..and I can't wait! But…I know this is silly…but when I think back to when I was very little, we would get so excited for Sunday night. Fresh from a bath and in our pajamas I remember the opening scenes from the Disney show..the castle, and I think tinkerbell with her magic wand….we couldn't WAIT for the show to start and it was our time to watch something magical!

I tweeted the comment and added it to my facebook page

  3. I totally remember that! Sunday nights were totally magical! Thanks for reminding me of that!

  4. we haven't taken our kids to disneyland yet either. we have 2 boys and a girl, and i remember watching beauty and the beast with them for the first time. of course, the boys acted like it was the worst thing ever to have to watch a “girl” movie, but after 10 minutes, they were hooked. they would never admit they liked it but watched the entire movie. :)

  5. We're still waiting for our first trip to Disney – Land or World. :)

My favorite Disney moment was actually several moments. When my oldest son was 2 1/2 he'd watch the Disney movies and become one of the characters for weeks! I remember when he'd wear only his underwear for weeks because he was Mowgli, or him trying to fly off like Peter Pan.

But my absolute favorite of these memories is when he fell in love with the 7 Dwarfs and would sing Heigh-Ho forever and ever, and make me and my husband follow him in a figure 8 around our tiny apartment: he forced us to sing and to move our arms in the same manner they did as they sang and marched. We laughed so hard at that & I wish I had it all on video tape. :D

  6. My best Disney moment was riding the flying dumbo. I also enjoyed the Madhatter Tea cups because I made my mom and dad dizzy. Can't wait to take my kids there some day.

  7. My family and I have had the opportunity to go twice to Disney World in Florida. My youngest was 18 months old the first time, and she started to sleep through the entire night once we got there! (That was a huge milestone because mommy was so very very tired) But my favorite moment, the one that made me cry, was when my son, who was 4 at the time, got to meet his favorite character, Buzz Lightyear! He was so obsessed with Buzz Lightyear that he wore the costume every Halloween for 6 years AND to every trip to the grocery store. He had every Buzz Lightyear doll, in every shape and size, including one that was bigger than himself at the time. You name anything to do with Buzz Lightyear, from pajamas to destroyers, Tommie had it! So, watching my little amazed boy hold hands with the-larger-than-life Buzz, I had to gulp back some tears! My son is going to be 9 yrs. old soon, but he still thinks that Buzz Lightyear is the one who leaves the JET-STREAMS behind in the sky…………

  8. That is so adorable! Great story. Thanks for sharing it!

  12. I went to Disney on ice a last year. I rarely see them discounted. Try getting tickets early. The stage is basically in the center which is not bad but the more to the center the price goes up.
